More than 150 gardeners from West Virginia and beyond are taking part in “Motherland — Appalachian Beauty,” a Garden Club of America Zone VII Flower Show at the Clay Center for Arts & Sciences of West Virginia in Charleston. The show, which includes about 250 entries, is sponsored by the Kanawha Garden Club.
This show is for gardeners, horticulture enthusiasts, flower people, artists and students and will feature hundreds of staged horticultural specimens, blooming flowers, floral designs, photography, botanical arts and educational components.
“The Motherland Flower Show will celebrate the vibrant beauty and rich heritage of Appalachia,” said Anne Silbernagel, KGC President, in a news release. “We invite the community to join us in this celebration, witness the creativity on display, and be inspired by breathtaking interpretations of Appalachian beauty.”
